Guide to Injecting Spartina® with Physioject™ (Auto-injector Device)
Storage conditions
Keep Spartina® refrigerated at 2-8°C and out of the sight and reach of children.
Protect the medication from direct sunlight.

Do not shake the device.
Always check the expiry date before use.
Never heat or freeze the medication.
Store Spartina® in its original package until use.
Guide to Inject
Remove Spartina® from the refrigerator and allow it to reach room temperature for 15 – 20 minutes.
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
Inject into the abdomen at least 5 cm from the belly button, the back or lateral side of the arms midway between elbow and shoulder, or the front of the thighs about 5 cm above the knee and 5 cm below the groin. Use a rotational approach, selecting a different section of these areas for each injection, and avoid any skin that is red, bruised, or otherwise abnormal.
Disinfect the selected area with an alcohol swab, moving outward in a circular motion. Let the skin air-dry; do not blow on it.
Hold the body of the Physioject™ in one hand. With the other hand, pull the cap straight off; do not twist. Remove the cap only immediately before the injection. Note: Twisting or angling the cap can damage the device.
Press the movable tip of the device vertically at a 90-degree angle against the skin until the transparent section is fully compressed. The device will not activate until adequate pressure is applied.
Press the yellow button on the top with your thumb.
Upon hearing the click, the injection will begin. Keep the device pressed firmly against the skin for 10 seconds to ensure the full dose is delivered.
Monitor through the transparent section that the full dose has been injected, then lift the device straight away from the skin in one smooth motion.
Cover the site with a dry cotton ball or sterile gauze. A small amount of bleeding or medication leakage is normal. If minor bleeding occurs, apply gentle pressure with the cotton ball or sterile gauze for about 10 seconds. Brief pain or slight bruising may occur.
Dispose of the used auto-injector.
